When filmmaker Stephen Mitchell heard Kathi and Dave perform at a Hollywood party, he knew exactly how he wanted to cast Kathi in his next movie -- as a nightclub singer. In Dead Right Kathi has a co-starring role as a nightclub singer. Kathi sings Sundown, a song written especially for her by Grammy-Award-winning composer Harriet Schock.

Kathi was cast as the lead in the neo-noir independent film 5 Blocks North of Sunset and, in a role written specifically for her, was asked to play an aspiring singer. The film's theme, My Heart Has a Mind of Its Own, was written by Lenny Macaluso.

Kathi and Dave met singing in a band and went on to become the first duo to be invited to the prestigious John Davidson's Singers' Summer Camp. They went on to do some recording and live performances, most notably at Harrah's Lake Tahoe in Peggy's Fleming's An Evening on Ice and at the Sahara in Las Vegas with Sandy Hackett. Their "signature" song, which they recorded, is an arrangement of My Love and I and You're All I Need to Get By.

Several years ago a Las Vegas headliner predicted that Kathi & Dave would have a "hit single" one day. "(This Is) The Best Christmas", written by Kathi & Dave, is likely to be that hit. Whether it becomes famous for Kathi's lush rendition or as a holiday classic recorded by every popular recording artist, this song is destined to become a Holiday favorite.
